Black Opal is a precious stone which is found only in Australia in the past 100 years. This is quite a recent find compared to other gems. The production of Black Opal has been dramatically reduced the last couple of years. This is because people do not have the proper knowledge of this special gem.
Many people might have the understanding the opal only come from Mexico and has a dreamy milky color instilled inside the gem itself. This is not the case. We have been introducing Black Opal to our clients all around the world. The types of questions that were asked many times were "I've never seen this type of opal.
